The restriction and governance of short term rentals. 15% of Parc Lake neighborhood is STRs. I bought the house over a decade ago for a quiet residential street, not to be on the corner of a hotel district with more traffic, trash and strangers than ever before. I ask the city to please start discussions about restricting hotels in single family neighborhoods and/or taxing them as just that.

I oppose businesses in areas zoned single family residential defined by city ordinance as hotels, motels and inns. Specifically: "Hotel, motel or inn shall mean an establishment offering lodging, the use of guest rooms or sleeping accommodations, to the transient public for compensation". Hotels, motels and inns are not allowed uses in Lewisville single family residential zones. Why is the illegal hotel at 1113 Firewater Circle being allowed to operate with impunity?
