The concerns arising from large capacity hotels / party houses masquerading as short-term rentals leading to both private and public nuisance which this will grow over time if left unchecked in Lewisville.

It's uplifting to see cities such as Plano, Grapevine, and Arlington restricting short-term rentals helping protect residential neighborhoods.

Furthermore, Dallas' decisive action to phase out existing and new short-term rentals is commendable and has not gone unnoticed.

In light of the City of Dallas' short-term rental ban in Single-Family Residential zoned neighborhoods, many of these STRs that close up business in Dallas will be looking to move to the suburbs. Without any ordinances or laws governing STRs in Lewisville, we are an apt candidate for more Airbnbs and VRBOs. AirDNA suggests a 5% growth in STRs in Lewisville per QUARTER over the coming year. Lewisville Chapter of Tx Neighborhood Coalition supports banning STRs in Single-Family Neighborhoods.
