I am President DCICA, www.dcica.org, I want to invite Mayor and Town Council, residents and staff to join us in celebrating Diwali, Flower Mound Festival of Lights on Nov 18, 2023. The location of the event is Gerault Park, 1200 Gerault Park, Flower Mound, TX 75022. The event will start at 4 PM with Flag Hoisting then commence to India's cultural performances. Its Free Entry to all and Free Parking, other attractions are : Bounce House for Kids, Henna Tatoo, Food, Music, Dance and DJ. Thanks!
I do not oppose STR's in concept, but do support regulation. STR's are businesses operating in areas zoned as residential and like all businesses, should be subject to annual permit/renewal process. Ex of criteria: adequate on-property parking for guests, lack of noise/pollution violations, weeknight curfew, limit # of STR's in a radius. If they don't comply/meet the criteria, then permit not renewed. We need to maintain peace in our neighborhoods with out penalizing the responsible STR's.
