I support implementing a STR density clause to balance economic benefits with neighborhood stability. Unregulated STR growth can reduce housing availability and disrupt communities. Euless, TX successfully limits STR density to prevent oversaturation, parking issues, and displacement. Without similar regulations, neighborhoods like mine Park Place in the Lake District risk losing cohesion. I urge the council to adopt a density clause to protect residents while allowing responsible STRs. J Woods

The distance requirement of 500/1000' is ideal. Staff knows the physical addresses of issued permits and density limits should prevent the issuance of a new permit. STR owners can inquire prior to application submittal. Other biz owners need to know the rules applicable to their biz prior to licensure or operation. STRs are a biz and should not be treated differently. Residents also invest $$ in their homes and sometimes their only investment. Protect our property rights and investment also.
