Why would any developer want to build a huge multi-story apartment complex just a few feet from a active railroad track that generates a tremendous amount of noise . There are several scheduled freignt trains that run daily right by the front of the proposed appartments. The original plan to build small retail stores offering services, used by residents from the area homes, was an ideal plan. The area in question has also suffered several major soil movements not mentioned in the plans.
I oppose this due to the fact that : 1) the project is too close to the 100 year flood plain (listed on the proposed drawling), 2) there is insufficient room for any type of retention area to stop contamination to Indian creek, 3) and has anyone checked into possible violations of the national wetlands act. I also believe that the run off of the area will create an ecological catastrophe on the surrounding areas.
The proposed 5-story building is completely out of place in this location and is in close proximity to existing homes. This plan was developed well after homes were constructed. Developer has made no attempt to meet with Residents impacted South of Parker road to hear our concerns. The described meeting invitation was never received by any residents of the impacted Reserve Community.
